2484 Info Drop
Greetings 2484 Members!
Welcome to our first Info Drop made especially for our local!
These posts are meant to keep you connected to your union, the child care sector, and useful supports. Inspired by our Monday Memo, which kept us united during the initial stages of the COVID pandemic, we aim to provide important information in the most convenient way possible.
CUPE Communications and Campaigns
We have a website! What a great feeling to have a tangible source of information and community for our membership. We look forward to progressing into this new world with all of you wonderful child care workers!
Local 2484 is developing an advocacy webinar to empower child care workers to work with their local government. Look out for the coming registration form.
Nominations for President and Personnel Committee have been submitted and next up is our vote. Your executive and staff have been seeking new and secure methods for virtual voting and will be sharing our findings very soon. Don’t forget to save the date! Click here for our calendar.
Our membership meetings have seen so much more participation since we went virtual and we are absolutely thrilled! Although health and safety prevents us from gathering in person, we are happy to improve and expand our reach. Please contact cupe2484connect@gmail.com if you have any technology questions or have had issue with joining meetings since we went online and we will do our best to help.
